About us

About our Pasadena heating and cooling crew

We are a heating and air conditioning company working out of Old Pasadena and Duarte, serving homes and businesses across Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley. The work is the everyday kind that keeps a house livable: getting an AC running again in a heat wave, bringing an old wall furnace back to safe operation, replacing a worn out system, sealing leaky attic ducts, and setting up heat pumps and ductless systems in remodels and backyard units.

The way we run the business is simple. The phone is answered by a person 24 hours a day. The technician who comes out is part of our own crew. The price is quoted before any work starts. And the advice you get is the advice we would give a neighbor, which sometimes means a small repair instead of a new system, and sometimes means telling you an old unit is no longer worth fixing.

How we work on every call

Every visit starts with testing, not guessing. The technician checks the electrical side, refrigerant or gas pressures, airflow, the drain, the thermostat and the condition of the equipment before naming a cause. That matters because the symptom you notice is often not the part that failed. A warm vent can mean a bad capacitor, a frozen coil, a clogged filter or a refrigerant leak, and each one has a different fix and cost. You get a plain explanation, the options laid out side by side, and a written price. Then you decide.

What we will and will not do on a visit

We will explain what we found, show you the worn part or the reading when it helps, and quote the price before we start. We will clean up, run the system through a full cycle afterward, and tell you what to watch for. We will not replace parts that test fine, push a new system when a reasonable repair will do, or start work you have not agreed to. If a gas appliance is unsafe to run, we will shut it off and explain exactly why, so you understand the risk instead of just hearing a warning.

Where we work from

Our Old Pasadena office is at 68 E Colorado Boulevard, close to the older neighborhoods where wall furnaces, floor furnaces and tight attic ducts are common. Our head office is at 547 Bettyhill Ave in Duarte, which keeps trucks and parts close to Monrovia, Arcadia, Azusa and the eastern San Gabriel Valley. Between the two, we reach Pasadena, Altadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, Sierra Madre, Glendale and the surrounding cities without long drive times. Every call goes through the same phone number, (626) 879-0711, answered 24/7.

What we hold to

How every visit is handled

Test before replacing

Parts get replaced because a reading or inspection shows they failed, not because they are easy to swap. That keeps repair bills honest and keeps good parts in your system.

Price before work

You see the price before anything is touched. If the scope changes once a panel is open, the technician stops, explains what changed, and quotes again before going further.

Plain talk, no pressure

We explain the problem in everyday language and give you the repair and replacement options with their tradeoffs. The choice is yours, and waiting is a fair answer when the risk is low.

Respect for your home

Drop cloths on floors, shoe covers indoors, care in attics above finished ceilings, and a clean work area when we leave. Older Pasadena homes deserve that extra care.

Who writes our blog

Our blog posts are written by Odell Rankin, our comfort blog editor, and checked against what our technicians see on calls around Pasadena. The goal is plain explanations a homeowner can use before calling. Read the blog.
